TAVERNA KERKIRA, BETWEEN CALABRIA AND GREECE

Just over twelve tables for a restaurant that has won a place in the Michelin guide.

A hip address, in Bagnara Calabria, close to Scilla in the heart of Calabria, a breath away from Sicily.

In the dining room and in the kitchen there is a family that preserves and renews the traditional Greek recipes with passion. It retains the atmosphere of the ancient fishermen’s  taverns and the characteristic flavors of the Mediterranean culinary tradition.

Among the great classics of Kerkyra, the mussel fritters with zaziki,  then proceed to try the ginger flavoured pearl barley soup with seafood and the idillyc shrimp saganaki with baked feta cheese.

Top it all with a sublime greek yoghurt mousse or the “gelo al limone” – a kind of lemon sorbet – heightened with sligthly candied orange syrup.

From the starter to the dessert, these highly creative dishes won’t go unnoticed.
